A Huge Thanks to all our Bike Rodeo parent volunteers. Our fourth annual Bike Rodeo couldn’t have happened, let alone been such a fabulous success without you!

Also thanks to Kim who volunteers with Lidz on Kidz, a program run by the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo Wellington (biaww.com), for speaking with the grade ones about helmets and doing helmet checks and fitting. Thank you to the City of Kitchener and Region of Waterloo for providing take home bike related goodies that are being sent home with KEPS students. The Region also provided the Bus N’ Bike Rack to demonstrate to the students how to take a bike on Grand River Transit. If you are interested in a Region bike trail map they will be available on the School Council bulletin Board just inside the front doors of the School.

Recycle Cycles also supported the day by providing a couple free bikes for us to use. Did you know that Recycle Cycles provides inexpensive reconditioned bikes for kids and adults? They will always take donations of any unwanted bikes and their volunteers fix up the bikes and provide them back to the community! For more info go to

If you would be interested in being a part of the volunteer parent Bike Rodeo committee, we will be looking for interested individuals part way through the next school year. We are always looking for fresh ideas and feedback! Contact us at

Have a great summer and cycle safely!!
