On Halloween Day, individual classes will continue to engage in learning activities. For a portion of the day, students may wear a costume. Students will not be allowed to go and change in the washrooms. Costumes need to be worn over regular clothes. Costumes may not be scary as this can be upsetting to other children. Please do not send children in heavy plush costumes because they can get overheated during the day. Please do not send masks or wear face painting at school. Students who do not wish to wear a costume are welcome to wear fall colours instead…orange, brown, black, yellow.
After Halloween, children usually have lots of treats, and due to concerns about sugar and health, please only pack 2 treats per day. (One for first break and one for second break.) Children need to eat their healthy foods first, prior to eating their treats at each break. Please note that many treats have peanuts or peanut butter, these treats must not be eaten at school. For health and safety reasons, parents are asked not to send in class treats for Halloween. We hope that everyone has a safe and happy Halloween. Thank you for your assistance.
