Students will come home with a package of forms on Tuesday to be filled out by parents. Please have students return those signed forms to their homeroom teacher by Friday, September 7.
Our first School Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the King Edward Library. Everyone is welcome to attend. Attached is a nomination form for those who would like to be part of King Edward’s School Council this year. For anyone interested, please fill out the form and bring it with you to the meeting on September 11. School Council Nomination Form 2018
We are very thankful for any parents who are able to volunteer at King Edward. Volunteers for all school activities, including all field trips, must have a new police check submitted for this school year. If you would like to volunteer at King Edward this school year, please see the following letter about getting a Police Record Check. Police Record Check Letter – Sept. 2018
Meet the Staff will take place on Wednesday, September 12 from 5:30 to 7:00. We look forward to seeing families at the school that evening. For those who attend Meet the Staff, students will have the opportunity to fill out a ballot for free Rangers tickets for themselves and a parent. We do not yet know the date of the game for the tickets but we will draw student names, announce the names on the announcements the following morning and present those students with certificates to be exchanged for the tickets.
A crosswalk has been painted on Walter St. to identify where students cross between our upper and lower fields. In addition, a lighted sign identifying the crosswalk will be installed in the near future.
